Anthony Harling has spent over 30 years in the executive search industry, during which time he has met with and interviewed thousands of senior executives in different industries and conducted multi-country C-level and Board searches for companies and non-profit organisations all over the world.
Anthony began his executive search career with Heidrick & Struggles International, one of the “big 5” global executive search firms. In total, he spent 13 years with Heidrick & Struggles where his language skills and international background gave meant that he was well-positioned to lead complex international projects sourcing candidates from multiple different countries and regions. After joining the firm in the Heidrick & Struggles London office, Anthony transferred to the Frankfurt office in to help develop the firm’s International Technology Practice in Germany. He re-joined the Technology Practice in London three years later. As Vice President, Europe for LeadersOnline (2000 – 2001), Anthony led the European roll-out of Heidrick’s innovative internet-enabled recruiting business. As Senior Partner he also led the UK Technology and Professional Services practices.
In 2012 Anthony, together with his partner, Jim Burley, founded Archer Mann, a boutique executive search firm, working closely with a small number of clients in a number of different industry sectors. In addition to the core executive search work, Archer Mann conducts a number of leadership assessment assignments and works with senior executives to help them manage their careers and conduct a structured and effective career transition process.
